Based on 41 reviews I’ve waited four years to write this review—intentionally—because I wanted to give a truly honest and thoughtful reflection on our experience. Please bear with the length, as this is a very personal journey. Our family’s relationship with Montessori House of Children began four years ago when I enrolled my two children in the summer camp to see how they would adjust. They loved it. From there, our journey unfolded: my oldest started in the Elementary program, my second child joined the Early Childhood (3–5 years) class, and the following year, my youngest entered the Toddler program (18 months–3 years). We've now experienced every program the school offers, and I’ve had the opportunity to interact with nearly every staff member—teachers, assistants, administrators, and leadership. It took a few months for my children to adjust to the new environment and Montessori approach, which is perfectly normal. But with the support and patience of some of the most dedicated and nurturing teachers I’ve ever met, it soon became a smooth, joyful routine. What makes Montessori House of Children truly special is that it goes beyond academics. The school focuses on nurturing independence, kindness, confidence, and a sense of community in every child. My kids feel safe, supported, and truly happy here—and as a parent, that’s all I could ask for. The relationships I’ve built over the years—with teachers, staff, fellow parents, and the administration—have been incredibly rewarding. I’m endlessly grateful for the team’s commitment to both academic and emotional development. Every teacher has played a meaningful role, from Ms. Maria and her team in the Toddler program, to Ms. Lakshmi in Early Childhood, and the wonderful Elementary teachers: Ms. Yadira, Ms. Alexandra, Ms. Erica, Ms. Via, Ms. Elisa, Ms. Ebtisam, the Spanish teacher, and everyone in the front office. You have all made such a difference in our lives. We recently faced the possibility of moving to another city due to work—and the thought of leaving this school was truly heartbreaking. Fortunately, we get to stay, and we’re thrilled to be returning this fall to continue being part of this incredible community. Thank you, Montessori House of Children, for everything you’ve done for our family. We can’t wait for what’s ahead. Nelvi GarciaMay 16, 2025 Our daughter’s experience from 1st to 3rd year at MHES has been transformative. She began as a quiet and reserved student, hesitant to speak up or share her thoughts. However, with the unwavering support and guidance of Ms. Elisa, she gradually gained the confidence to participate, express and take on new challenges. Teachers encouragement played a significant role in her development and growth both academically and personally. By 3rd year, she had evolved into a more confident and proactive student, ready to contribute and lead when needed. The method of teaching made my daughter feel very comfortable here as students have the freedom of choice to make their work plan and balance at the same time to complete their curriculum at the same time. We are sincerely grateful to all the teachers and the school administrators for creating an environment that nurtures growth and brings out the best in each student. Nayab SayedMay 15, 2025 I have been at MHFC for 11 years now. I started when my oldest was just two years old, and now he is enjoying his final year in the upper elementary classroom. This review doesn’t need to be long—just one simple story. Today was my last Watch Me Work session with my son. He was engaged with the physical representation of the trinomial cube, focused and confident. As I watched, I saw not just a student at work, but a young man—proud, capable, and completely comfortable in his own skin. A leader within his community. I couldn’t help but think back to our very first Watch Me Work session in the EC classroom. Back then, he sat in the corner, hesitant and unsure, reluctant to engage. He didn't touch a single material. I remember his teacher’s reassurance when she saw my concern: “Don’t worry.” Together, we made a plan to help him feel comfortable in the classroom, to find joy in learning. Now, we’ve come full circle—from toddler to upper elementary—and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. More than anything, I am deeply grateful. Grateful for the amazing teachers, the founders, the administrative staff, the beautiful environment, and the community that made this journey so special. GRACIAS! Antonieta CadizMarch 28, 2025 My kids are students at this school, and have been for the past 5 years. As a family we really love the school, its environment, the faculty, curriculum, administration and the parents who send their children to this school. We had visited several Montessori before we decided to join MHFC. We really enjoy the atmosphere that promotes learning, lot of social interactions between kids and the many events for parents to interact, which promotes a very family like environment. I have and will highly recommend the school to anyone interested in enrolling their child in a Montessori program. Bilal KhanNovember 12, 2024 Both my kids are students of MHFC. When we first visited we fell in love with how calming the toddler classroom was (no bright colors with minimalistic approach) and how well shaded outside play area is. The lead teachers connected with my kids in less than a week just by practicing montessori methodology. My kids love going to school and oh wait the best part is parents are heavily involved with school. So parent network is top notch and we made friends for life. If you have little ones then I would highly recommend this place. Kids are exposed to montessori way since day one and the food that is served is extremely healthy as well (examplr fresh fruits and cheese sticks for snacks). Nazia KhatoonOctober 15, 2024 My Kids love it here. Larry SmithDecember 8, 2022 I toured MHFC about 3 times before enrolling my kids, not because I doubted the school but it is quite a distance from our home. We started the Montessori method at around 18mo with my son….At around age 2 my son was having difficulties at his previous Montessori. Drop offs were getting hard and the teachers would try to drag him inside and I would sit in the car and cry and wonder as a parent what am I doing wrong…. I knew I needed to find another place for him. I looked all over sugar land but eventually my heart just brought me back to MHFC. My son toured it with me and within 30 minutes, he knew this is the school he wanted to attend. I listened to him and enrolled him right away…first day he came home and said he loves his class and his teacher and I just cried! I knew he was where he belonged even if it meant I would have to wake up earlier and have a longer drive to get him there. He is now 6 years old and just started elementary with MHFC and was so excited to go back to school! We started my daughter there as well at the age of 1 and I can see the difference in the foundation skills learned through the Montessori methods that my daughter received from MHFC which my son did not receive at the other Montessori he was at. My daughter now in her final year in early childhood is so excited and even more excited she will be attending elementary there in the future! Bilingual language programs are in high demand for many reasons. Biliteracy is good for the brain. Students learn and maintain languages more readily when exposed at a younger age, and they build strong social connections and cultural awareness. Montessori education is our school’s primary focus, and it is enhanced by our Spanish program.
Montessori House places great importance on connection with nature and environmental education. The school is distinguished through nature education programs, including a Certified Schoolyard Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation, Eco-School (silver level) through ECO Schools USA, an organic garden learning program where students prepare, plant, water, harvest, and enjoy their own herbs, fruits, and vegetables!

The Montessori recognizes that the most important brain development takes place in the early years. At MHFC, even our youngest toddlers develop independence through exploration of personal interests. Our Montessori early childhood program introduces academic courses and respects individual growth.
Montessori elementary dives deeper into the curriculum, to understand the how and why and subject matter. Our students explore individual and collaborative activities, experiential learning, and moral/social development. With an emphasis on both imaginative and intellectual skills, students excel in emotional intelligence, critical thinking to problem-solving skills.
