Based on 48 reviews I’ve waited four years to write this review, intentionally because I wanted to give a truly honest and thoughtful reflection on our experience. Please bear with the length, as this is a very personal journey. Our family’s relationship with Montessori House of Children began four years ago when I enrolled my two children in the summer camp to see how they would adjust. They loved it. From there, our journey unfolded: my oldest started in the Elementary program, my second child joined the Early Childhood (3–5 years) class, and the following year, my youngest entered the Toddler program (18 months–3 years). We've now experienced every program the school offers, and I’ve had the opportunity to interact with nearly every staff member, teachers, assistants, administrators, and leadership. It took a few months for my children to adjust to the new environment and Montessori approach, which is perfectly normal. But with the support and patience of some of the most dedicated and nurturing teachers I’ve ever met, it soon became a smooth, joyful routine. What makes Montessori House of Children truly special is that it goes beyond academics. The school focuses on nurturing independence, kindness, confidence, and a sense of community in every child. My kids feel safe, supported, and truly happy here and as a parent, that’s all I could ask for. The relationships I’ve built over the years with teachers, staff, fellow parents, and the administration have been incredibly rewarding. I’m endlessly grateful for the team’s commitment to both academic and emotional development. Every teacher has played a meaningful role, from Ms. Maria and her team in the Toddler program, to Ms. Lakshmi in Early Childhood, and the wonderful Elementary teachers: Ms. Yadira, Ms. Alexandra, Ms. Erica, Ms. Via, Ms. Elisa, Ms. Ebtisam, the Spanish teacher, and everyone in the front office. You have all made such a difference in our lives. We recently faced the possibility of moving to another city due to work and the thought of leaving this school was truly heartbreaking. Fortunately, we get to stay, and we’re thrilled to be returning this fall to continue being part of this incredible community. Thank you, Montessori House of Children, for everything you’ve done for our family. We can’t wait for what’s ahead. Nelvi GarciaDecember 18, 2025 Highly recommend this school for anyone looking for holistic development of a child. The teachers here are kind, patient and a positive influence for the kids. Ms. Lakshmi has been a great asset and a wonderful sherpa for my little one. ! Nishita PNovember 13, 2025 This is our second year at Montessori House for Children & Elementary School. Our daughter started when she was around 3½ years old, in the early childhood class, in 2024. She’s a COVID baby—naturally introverted and shy. Pushing her to speak up or try new things never worked; she needed her own time and space. I truly believe this school was exactly what she needed. Ms. Lakshmi is a wonderful teacher—patient, kind, and deeply attuned to each child’s personality. She has a special way of guiding children gently while still encouraging independence and confidence. Little by little, I’ve witnessed a beautiful transformation in my daughter. She is still quiet and thoughtful by nature, but now she knows how to use her voice, and I see her curiosity and confidence growing every single day. I once told Ms. Lakshmi that the school has given my daughter one of the best gifts anyone can receive—the gift of loving to learn. That is something she will carry with her wherever she goes. The entire team at Montessori House is excellent—warm, caring, and truly dedicated to the children... Thank you, MHFC, and especially Ms. Lakshmi and Ms. Karla! We love you all very much. ❤️ Tatiana ASNovember 12, 2025 Our son attended MHFCES for four years--grades 3rd through 6th--and has since graduated to junior high, where we are seeing firsthand the gifts of his elementary experience. This Montessori school is special in that it really does address the whole child; the teachers meet them where they are and help them grow. Academics are important, but so are those opportunities to develop perseverance, community, character, and responsibility. Our son gained confidence and had the opportunity to learn in a space where he felt a deep sense of belonging. His teachers were kind, patient, and responsive. They were also deeply dedicated, and often went above and beyond in trying to meet the unique needs of each student in their care. We love this school deeply, and we are beyond grateful for the time our child spent there. karstin painterOctober 1, 2025 We highly recommend Montessori House for Children. Both of our daughters have attended this school, and we’ve consistently found the teachers to be caring, attentive, and excellent educators. The school offers a well-structured environment with clear objectives that support each child’s growth and development. It also fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both students and parents, making it a truly special place to learn. SJuly 26, 2025 Our daughter’s experience from 1st to 3rd year at MHES has been transformative. She began as a quiet and reserved student, hesitant to speak up or share her thoughts. However, with the unwavering support and guidance of Ms. Elisa, she gradually gained the confidence to participate, express and take on new challenges. Teachers encouragement played a significant role in her development and growth both academically and personally. By 3rd year, she had evolved into a more confident and proactive student, ready to contribute and lead when needed. The method of teaching made my daughter feel very comfortable here as students have the freedom of choice to make their work plan and balance at the same time to complete their curriculum at the same time. We are sincerely grateful to all the teachers and the school administrators for creating an environment that nurtures growth and brings out the best in each student. Nayab SayedMay 15, 2025

Bilingual language programs are in high demand for many reasons. Biliteracy is good for the brain. Students learn and maintain languages more readily when exposed at a younger age, and they build strong social connections and cultural awareness. Montessori education is our school’s primary focus, and it is enhanced by our Spanish program.
Montessori House places great importance on connection with nature and environmental education. The school is distinguished through nature education programs, including a Certified Schoolyard Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation, Eco-School (silver level) through ECO Schools USA, an organic garden learning program where students prepare, plant, water, harvest, and enjoy their own herbs, fruits, and vegetables!
