Established in 2006, we are a family-owned and operated Montessori school that provides a continuum of Montessori education from toddler through 6th grade. We are committed to authentic Montessori education and programs that cultivate joyful, self-motivated, and confident learners. As an AMS Accreditation Candidate School, we believe what we do is important because we hope to create future leaders through emotional, social, ethical, and academic education that fosters curiosity and independence.

Montessori House for Children and Elementary School ensures that the Toddler, Early Childhood , and Elementary guides/lead teachers are trained in Montessori pedagogy under the American Montessori Society’s auspices (AMS) or Association Montessori International (AMI). The School prides itself on the quality, educational depth, and talent of its faculty.

Spanish Language Program

Bilingual language programs are in high demand for many reasons. Biliteracy is good for the brain. Students learn and maintain languages more readily when exposed at a younger age, and they build strong social connections and cultural awareness. Montessori education is our school’s primary focus, and it is enhanced by our Spanish program.

A Focus on Environmental Education

Montessori House places great importance on connection with nature and environmental education. The school is distinguished through nature education programs, including a Certified Schoolyard Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation, Eco-School (silver level) through ECO Schools USA, an organic garden learning program where students prepare, plant, water, harvest, and enjoy their own herbs, fruits, and vegetables!

Both of my kids went to this school from 18 months to end of Early Childhood! I could not love more this school. I have never met a staff and owners who care for the children more than they do. This is a true Montessori school!

Best decision we have ever made when we choose MHFC for our kids! Love all of the teachers, admins and principals. They mean so much to us!

This is an amazing school with highly educated teachers who truly care for their students. They communicate very well during these challenging times and always try to do their best to accommodate parents' requests. It is a school that values and celebrates diversity.

This is the only school we found in the area that is a truly authentic Montessori environment. The guides and administrators treated our daughter with care and respect, and she quickly grew to become excited about school! I have seen her independence, focus, and social interactions blossom in the two short months she's been attending MHFC. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to support their child's natural, life-long love of learning!

The school is like a second home and the staff are like a second family. Beautiful environment with natural lighting, outdoor classrooms and gardens planted by the children and their families.

I am so blessed to have been part of this school for our expat life here in Houston! My two boys had to learn english and adjust to a Montessori environment, and I'm so proud to say both can read, write and express themselves with great confidence. Not only did they grow academically, but they are also independent and have a general knowledge that astounds me.

When we entered this school for the first time we knew for sure this was the kind of school we wanted our oldest (and only child at the time) to go to. Little did we know about the Montessori Method at the time, but the peaceful atmosphere we felt then assured us we were making the right decision. We still feel the same each time we enter the school.

We were initially drawn due to outdoor environment, vegetable garden, and the love of nature taught to the children. Since being here, they have been nurtured by their teachers, taught so many wonderful things, experienced cultures from around the world (thanks to parents and volunteers who come in to speak about where they are from). Our two children both learned to read quickly and well above their age level.

Montessori Children's House

The Montessori recognizes that the most important brain development takes place in the early years. At MHFC, even our youngest toddlers develop independence through exploration of personal interests. Our Montessori early childhood program introduces academic courses and respects individual growth.

Montessori Elementary Program

Montessori elementary dives deeper into the curriculum, to understand the how and why and subject matter. Our students explore individual and collaborative activities, experiential learning, and moral/social development. With an emphasis on both imaginative and intellectual skills, students excel in emotional intelligence, critical thinking to problem-solving skills.
